Deep etching is actually a term used by graphic designers to select a certain object in an image and place it in a different background. The basic aim is to make the object the focus. This is done in such a way that a busy background is turned into an opaque one so that the product stands alone. Deep etching requires a great deal of expertise. This is one of the main reasons why companies charge such a great amount to photoshop an image or to deep etch it. However we provide reasonably priced deep etching services!
Clipping path services are in simple terms "cutting out the image" and removing any unwanted elements either in or around the portion of the image you want to keep. With our basic clipping path service use what's basically an electronic pen and trace around edges, outlines, and corners of a image and "cut out" anything outside of that. We are then left with only the portion of the image that we want to keep. With this method we essentially are tracing the image you do want and removing the rest.
Deep etching in Photoshop can help to prepare brochures with various designs. By using the clipping path tool in Photoshop you can take any image and use it for making your catalogue. In order to deep etch an image you have got to create a path around the image and then turn it into a clipping path or in other words deep etch the image. • To create a clipping path in Photoshop you need to select an image, once you have it opened make use of the pen tool. • Make sure to select the paths icon from the pen tool’s menu. Now drag your mouse pointer from one edge of the image to the other until you see an o image. • Now click on the o image to close the path. Save the path by going to the path pallete and double clicking on the work path icon. The work path will now be renamed as path1. • Once done go to the clipping path menu and select the path you want to be clipped. The dialogue box will ask you to enter the desired path and the flatness. Leave the flatness at zero and enter the path name. • Save the image in PSD format.
There are tools available for you to create a clipping path from Photoshop. Each technique or tool is used differently and results may slightly vary, so it is important to determine the easiest and most rewarding technique that will help you edit a photo to its best. Alas, not all easy techniques are rewarding, but it’s a start if you want to learn how to cut out images using the clipping path technique. There are some things to keep in mind when setting up a clipping path via Photoshop, first is to follow the natural lines of your subject, then create layers that will mask the background successfully and make sure that the objects and layers you add match all the other layers that you want to show.
The clipping path techniques to use will depend on the kind of software you used to compile your photo after masking. However, with the Photoshop, the magic wand is most commonly used tool in identifying the natural lines of an image. It can be used on most types of photographs but is not very easy to use on areas that are quite difficult to outline such as photos with subjects that are placed closely together and those that have plenty of like colors with no pronounced edges. The results might not be as encouraging but with simpler figures, it would suffice. If you encounter a relatively difficult photo or image to outline or cut out, the magic wand can be used to create a gross outline or path and modify it accordingly.
Organic shapes are easier to work on and in order to create paths and a clipping mask, select “make work path” to set the tolerance level, which will determine the lines and help you remove stray pixels on your figure. You can adjust the level according to your preference and the lower values you assign, the less precise the outlines would be. When the tolerance level is set to your specifications, set the flatness of your outline or clipping path to ensure that there are no stray pixels. Finally, view repeatedly until you are satisfied with the results and save your work.
If you still want to edit your clipping paths and that you’re simply not satisfied with the ones that you have just set up, you can amend your image manually by using your pen tool. Start by outlining the image just like you would use a magic wand to set up a new clipping path. The anchor point tool will mark an area each time you shift directions. These points are useful in detecting the edges of your images using other photo editing programs aside from Photoshop. Finally, to create a smoother transition along the edges, use the convert point tool to blend or buff the edges.
