Make sure to select the paths icon from the pen tool’s menu. Now drag your mouse pointer from one edge of the image to the other until you see an image. |

Now click on the o image to close the path. Save the path by going to the path pallete and double clicking on the work path icon. The work path will now be renamed as path1. |

Once done go to the clipping path menu and select the path you want to be clipped. The dialogue box will ask you to enter the desired path and the flatness. Leave the flatness at zero and enter the path name. |

Finally, view repeatedly until you are satisfied with the results and save your work.

Start by outlining the image just like you would use a magic wand to set up a new clipping path. The anchor point tool will mark an area each time you shift directions. These points are useful in detecting the edges of your images using other photo editing programs aside from Photoshop. Finally, to create a smoother transition along the edges, use the convert point tool to blend or buff the edges.
