Clipping paths are commonly used by graphic artists in creating cutout images that may be further edited in layers, so they can come up with more interesting and purposeful images. There are many ways to do this and one of the most popular programs used is InDesign. Using this software alone, you can choose between two methods to create an outline or a clipping path for edit. Without a clipping path set up, InDesign will automatically assign a square clipping path or outline on the outermost edges of your subject. |

To do this, modify your edge settings and set to “same as clipping”. If you are using a newer version of InDesign, however, look for the “detect edges” setting and select it to establish an alpha channel and your image’s clipping path. Then, select your image’s edge threshold and modify according to your preference. The higher value you assign, the more pronounced your object’s edges would be. You can also set the threshold such that pixels would be transparent.
You may also create cutouts on your image or modify it using your threshold settings. To do this, choose the “include inside edges” option to create a layer over a background area, where you can overlap the image you are working on. You may also simply set up your own clipping path manually by creating a “user-modified path”.

Edge tolerance for your image’s clipping path may also be set using InDesign. The tolerance values will establish how close your lines will be at the image’s edges. The higher the value, the flatter or more seamless your clipping path would be. However, using higher values means that it will be more difficult to determine anchor points that you can use to adjust the clipping path. Some graphic artists and designers prefer to assign lower values and simply edit or modify the edges to polish them, whereas some prefer to come up right away with smooth edges using the tolerance values. To change or adjust the tolerance, open the corresponding box and type in positive (+) values if you want to increase it and negative (-) values to minimize it. The good thing about InDesign is that you can re-modify your existing and imported objects’ clipping paths repeatedly until you are satisfied with them.

After uploading images on any of the above website, please send us an email on: abhi@photoeditingindie.com, with instructions & images download link. **Please do not send any image in email attachment**. Email attachments often hangs for email software and we could delete it. You can also submit the form on the website with images download link and instructions. After we process images, we will email you the images download link.
Such customers will receive a FTP account on our server where the raw/un-edited photos must be uploaded. We will check FTP on regular basis (as per your instructions) and download images and deliver/upload the processed/retouched images on the same FTP account. Since the servers belong to our company, your data will stay safe. We value the privacy of our customers.
We usally deliver the retouched results after 24-48 hours or as per the agreement. More time is sought from the customer if the retouching requires a complex process. The delivery time is also delayed if a large batch of photos is uploaded or during peak season.

Large photos have more number of pixels than a standard quality photo. Thus, manipulating and retouching so many pixels is a laborious task & time consuming, and since we maintain a certain work standard, it becomes even more difficult to attain the desired results. Thus, there is price difference.
We accept all major file types. If we find a file type that cannot be retouched by our software, the same is intimated/informed to our customers. We prefer to receive JPEG/JPG files, but can also accept CR2, PNG, PSD, RAW files as well.
